I Love Color Case Hardened firearms. I have quote a few of the ones Smith & Wesson produced in Conjunction with Lew Horton Distributors as part of the Heritage series. These began production around 2001
The Group photo has some Color Case Hardened Model 25s chambered in 45 Long Colt lying next to their matching serial numbered Model 17s
Then there were the Ed McGivern Specials. 6" Model 15s produced in honor of his shooting feats with revolvers back in January of 1934. These were offered in Blue, Nickel and Color Case Hardened. The Factory Nickel from about this point forward is some of the best I have ever seen
I do not have one of the Model 36s, missed out on one of the 3" 36s not too long ago. I wanted the snubby. However, I do have a modern Model 15 that is Color Case Hardened. It always gets some stares when I set it out
And it is not just Smith & Wessons that have beautiful Color Case Hardened firearms
This Centennial Edition Kimber Honors the 100th Anniversary of the 1911
Just last week, I took delivery of a Browning BL-22 that has been Color Case Hardened. It is sitting in the living room waiting for me to photograph
Then of course there are all the old Cowboy guns that are Color Case Hardened, I was just sticking to more Modern stuff for this thread
