S&W Classic SKU: 163638 and Deluxe SKU 150714.
What exactly is the difference between the two 6.5" barrel models? The obvious is the wood grip on the Deluxe (no Hogue rubber grip comes with it). The not so obvious is the S&W specs for the Classic weighing 49.3 oz. at 12.0" long and 50.7 oz for the Deluxe at 11.63" long. I'm guessing the weight and shape of the grip. Both list at $1,139. Hard to believe S&W would maintain 2 SKUs with the only difference being a rubber or wood grip.
Is there any difference in finish/polish or mechanical pieces?
