I have both
I own a 351c and a 43c, and have a local shop selling my 351PD.
I found that the hammer on the 351PD does hang up on my pocket or even the rim of a Sticky holster. As for the difference in the 2 you asked about: physically there is no difference. They are the same configuration and weight. I added different grips to the 351c so my 75 year old eyes can quickly see which is which!
You should really think about ammo cost though. The .22WMR ammo is MUCH more expensive than the .22 LR. See if that difference would discourage you from shooting more. Not only does practice make more perfect, but like all J frames the trigger becomes easier and smoother with more use. And while you are breaking it in, you will become a better double action shooter! In an actual emergency need for self defense, you better forget trying to cock and shoot single action. The only possible scenario for that would be an active shooter where you are not the target and you have time for a precise shot. But believe it or not, you can get to where you can make any almost identical shot double action with practice. Watch Buffalo Outdoors to see what is possible. Even though I have both, the 43c gets the most action. The ballistic difference is not that much out of a snubbie. Above all, have fun and be safe!
