Went to range with two came home with three!
So I went to the range to shoot 150 rounds of 44 special to get my brass for my skeeter loads and to test 100 of my 38 wadcutter hand loads ( everything went great ) and on the way out the door of course I had to peek at the pre owned counter. 3 wheelguns. A hand ejector smith for a thou, a blue security six 2.75 for 699 and a lowly nobody-wants-me 67-6 HH gun for 499.00. “Gee whiz.. lemme see the K frame”. Super mint condition looks to have had 50 rounds through it and a fantastic trigger! Tight as a drum lockup and straight barrel etc. sideplate never touched, sights centered.. did I mention the trigger that comes in prolly 9lbs DA smooth as glass? “Is this consignment that I can make an offer?” No. “Ok.. I’ll see y’all later”. Sat in car for 20 minutes battling with the little devil on my shoulder. Called the Mrs. NO. Texted pals, looked up values, texted the Mrs.. she caved! ( I love her!) lol. Went back and got it. It’s perfect and I did not have a K frame in the house. It’s going to be the perfect wadcutter gun. Attached is some of my hand load groups. 7 yards DA 686 no dash . Berrys DEWC 148 gr over W231

Let's just hope that a bunch of our wives don't get together and talk about our gun addictions. If they started comparing notes and wanting to look in our safes we could all be in big trouble!

My wife grew up with a Police Sargent/ Combat Pistol competitor for a dad. To her Real Men shoot gun, go to matches, load ammo, buy guns, sell guns, and talk gun to their friends! I never want to disappoint the wife!

Mine was a shooter, managed a gun store, shot Glock matches, Glock armorer, and all of a sudden overnight became an old church lady

My wife is a "praise the Lord and pass the ammunition" type of lady.

Nice acquisition! But you might want to move those wadcutters out to 25+ yards. It's fun awaiting them to arrive at the gong

Thanks for the replies. The range is super close to home and state of the art awesome indoor. I’ve always wanted to shoot steel in my backyard. Gotta move ( retire) to do that!

Yes. A wadcutter in a short barrel J takes a bit to get to the steel. Fun to hear it it hit. In my 6" K-38 and "modern" 4 1/4" GP100, a bit faster.

I’ve done that several times.
The range/LGS right down the road gets trade-ins of grandpas revolver for wunder-nines and flips them cheap.
Apparently I’m one of the few old goats who appreciates them.
