The 25-2, 1961, eliminated the trigger guard screw, the diamond grip and began the N serial prefix
The 25-3, 1977, 3" round butt made for Lew Horton Co. and
about 100 were produced.

You failed to mention the Model 25-3, 45 long Colt edition. A bunch of those were produced. And, I believe others.

The 25-2 is a 45acp target revolver. The 25-3 looks like it but is a 125th Anniversary Commemorative in 45 Colt (with a slightly shorter cylinder than is found in the 25-5 version). The 3" round butt mentioned above was produced in far smaller numbers than the commemorative; I've never seen one.

Not exactly a “25”, however, at least one exception is the 625-6 Mountain Gun. It was made in 45 acp and 45 Colt.

I just bought a 25-15 (45 LC) with the Hillary Hole, something I swore I would NEVER do, but the price told me I needed that Smith. It is equal in quality to all my others Smith's. First thing I did was take the side plate off and remove the interlock system and fill the hole with a plug from TK Customs. It's much more pleasing to my eyes and I feel a bit smug giving Hillary a show of the index finger. I clearly understand why there are many that won't buy the HH Smith's, as I was one of them. That said, my new HH Smith is a very fine, high quality revolver. I would suggest that all of the negative comments about the HH revolver is nothing more than personal preference, as the gun is a high quality Smith & Wesson revolver regardless of the interlock.
