I picked-up a Model 65-8 LadySmith in .357 today but I can't find out much about it. Serial CHW2650.

It came in to my shop in a box with a Model 60-14 .357 LadySmith that I bought last week.

They were having trouble pricing the Model 65 so we settled on $500.00 and called it a day.

For all I know I overpaid. I can find the pre-lock LadySmith 65s but not the Hillary-Holed 65-8. Did they make many of them?

As for the revolver it was very lightly used like the 60-14. I love the size and the fixed sights.

$500 is pretty solid. Perusing completed sales on GunBroker, most pre-lock 3" Model 65s sold for $800+. E one 65 with lock that I saw went for $575, and then you'd generally add credit card fees and shipping on top of that

I was OK with the price so I guess that is all that really matters, that and a got the 60-14 for a good price so it all equals out I guess.

You mention the shipping costs but there's also transfer fees and sales tax that people seldom take into account. The cheapest transfer fee in my AO is $27.00 with $35.00 being the norm.

By the time you are done you can tack $75.00+ onto the sale price.
