Another report on issues with “Ultimate Carry” guns. I fired the first 70 rounds through a 432-UC today. The trigger failed to reset on at least one shot, every other cylinder or so. The cylinder is also dragging on the forcing cone.

I’m skipping S&W this time, and sending it straight to Nelson Ford (I was already getting on his books for a trigger job). Hopefully he can get me squared away. This is pretty disappointing for a carry gun, and I don’t think I can trust the gun even if it comes back from S&W ostensibly fixed (another 432-UC failed mid competition after several hundred rounds)

This model definitely has had teething issues. I want one, but will wait until it outgrows them.

I keep reading about the issues with this Lipsey's commissioned series of revolvers. I also see folks keep contacting Smith & Wesson who don't seem to really care, since they have already gotten their money from Lipseys.
EVERYONE who has had an issue with one of these revolvers really needs to express their disappointment and frustrations to those in charge of this project at Lipseys. These problems also reflect VERY poorly on Lipsey's reputation and they need to be made aware of that FACT. That also includes issues with revolvers that have required multiple trips back to S&W to get them "right".
Smith & Wesson obviously doesn't pay any attention to the end user, but if they start getting a really bad reputation with one of their MAJOR distributors, that they may pay attention to.

Just acquired a 432UC new with some unusual finish wear on the outside front of the cylinder. Feels mechanical sound but haven’t had the opportunity to test it live as the ammo hasn’t arrived yet. I liked the G10 grips more than I thought I would.

Luckily, my 432UC has, so far, been 100% fine, but I've only shot ~250 rounds through it so far.

Design and consulting-wise, it seems Lipsey's did a fine job, but agree S&W lately needs more attention to detail in both its manufacturing/execution and any subsequent customer service/warranty-repairs. If the initial manufacturing & execution is done better, there should be less need for the latter CS/Warranty, too.

Lipsey's already seems to be doing work with other firearm brands, but perhaps do more projects with companies other than S&W next time if S&W doesn't shape-up to expectations.

Again, my 432UC (a .32H&RMag revolver) has been fine, but I also have a Ruger LCRX in .327FedMag should either ever go down due to breakage or service.

Some folks have taken to packing Ruger Revolvers after trying to get Smith and Wesson to correct issues on new S&W Revolvers.

No 432 here, but I did purchase a 632UC about a month ago. I have pretty close to 200 rounds through it so far, without any problems. All have been reloads, in 100 gr. so far. About 50/50 wadcutters and XTPs.

Perhaps I'm just lucky, but I'm enjoying it so far. :D

Hopeful that the 432UC I ordered won't have problems. I really want this Ultimate Carry j-frame to be excellent and my faithful EDC.
