What kind of upgrade is beeing applied in USA to improve the rear sight performance?. Standard sight is a little bit poor for shooting sport.

I want some adjustable sight similar to Millet ones, but in Europe only LPA is available.
To install the LPA I suspect I would have to machine some more threaded holes in my 16-4 frame. Don't like.
Apparently S&W does not sell kits with better sights for sport.

The LPA sight should work on your 16-4. look under the top strap and see if there are other holes there. if so it will work. They are very nice sights.

I disassembled the rear sight removing the small screw and found only one hole. That means LPA would need a second hole (to be machined in the frame). I don't like. I prefer Millet sight to avoid it.
Do you know where Millet sights can be found ?. In Millet Web appropriate part number for my 16-4 is "SW00014". I need to know where it is available with licence to be exported to Spain.
Very appreciate your assistance.

I have just installed the LPA TXT Fiber Optic sights on my 686-6. They appear to be very nice, I have not had a chance to shoot with them yet.

They are drop-in installations for Smith revolvers with scope mount holes. I'm not sure when Smith started drilling scope mounts in their revolvers.

I went with LPA because they were the only ones that I could find that had fiber optic rear sights.

Here is a review that I found for Bomar, LPA & Millet sights. This review is for 1911s thought, not revolvers
