My TR325 at S&W for warranty work arrived back home yesterday and I'm now in the market for a belt holster made to fit this revolver with the accessory rail installed under the barrel. Any and all recommendations would be appreciated.
Regards From Colorado,
Tony

I'm a big fan of Simply Rugged holsters. As advertised, they are rugged, simple, priced well and very comfortable to carry. I'm sure they can make one to fit your TR325. Their turn-around time has been very good, compared to many of the other custom leather makers.

One more idea on the Simply Rugged. When you order, add the optional "Inside-Out" straps, which allow you to also use it as an IWB holster. This mode is also very comfortable, as it places the holster and weapon high enough in the waistband that the cylinder rides above the waistband, reducing the bulk. I find this mode useful when an OWB 4" holster would show below the cover garment.

44specialfan - contact Milt Sparks. They have an IWB & a belt holster for it. They made the first holsters for Clint Smith when the 325TR came out two years ago. Sam at Andrews Custom Leather will make one too. Both do excellent work. What went wrong with yours that you had to return it to the factory?

Another vote for Milt Sparks. They made me a Summer Special II IWB for mine, fitted for the rail attached (but without the light), and it is fantastic. It pulls the TRD's butt in tightly to my side so that it doesn't print. At night, I just take it out of the holster, add the light, and have my nightstand gun.

I am extremely happy with my Simply Rugged holster. As stated above, make sure to get the inside out straps in case you want to carry IWB. I am about to place an order for two more of these ... they have become my favorite holster!!

Mine fits well in a Galco Phoenix duel position.
I have seen several times at gun shows people making very thin Kidex holsters and plan on having two made for mine, if I ever find them again. I want one with the Surefire 300 light attached and one with just the rail. With the ones I've seen thay can be swithed from belt to ITP set ups easily.

Jan & Rob of Simply Rugged are good people and my dealings with them on the 4+ Sourdough holsters I have purchased from them has been very professional, with fast delivery of a great product.
I haven't had the pleasure of dealing with Milt Sparks but will recheck his web site with my thanks to 'twigs' for his experience on a Summer Special II made for a like equipped Smith.
Pepper, to answer your question on why the revolver was returned. When I purchased my 325 and took it to the range, I discovered that I was unable to eject fired cases mounted on moon clips. Had to use a soft headed mallet to break them loose. Visited a local machinist who measured each of the chambers in the cylinder after I had marked them with a Sharpie so we could tell who was who. We discovered that 5 were uniform but that one was tighter, i.e., it would not accept a .475 gauge pin when the other 5 easily would.
Long story short, I called S&W Customer Service, explained my problem, and they in turn sent me UPS Express Pre-Paid Mailing paperwork and instructions. UPS here in Colorado Springs was very helpful and friendly; the revolver made it back to MA and in exactly one week I received it back from S&W with a note saying that a few cylinder had been installed. Great Service all around as far as I'm concerned. Hope to get to the range next week to restart my experience with this firearm.
Still exploring holster options. Appreciate those that have responded and hope that a few more members will also add their experience and suggestions.
Regards From Colorado,
Tony

Check out the Mernickle Performance Series. I have several of their concealment holsters and really appeciate their fine workmanship.

44specialfan, I went with a kydex from blade tech. I want to take a revolver class and like the fact that it is easier to reholster. They make a outside the waistband for the 625 and it works very well for my 22-4. Eventually, I will get some good leather for it, but for right now I am very happy with it. Going to try it out later this week.

Pepper, et al...
Finally got to the range last week-end and was able to fire 50 or so rounds through my TRR 325. Absolutely no problems removing the fired cases so Smith's replacement cylinder fix seems to have done the trick.
Appreciate the holster suggestions and hope to visit with Ray of Lobo Leather soon so I can look at his work. As it turns out, he lives just south of me. I'll post what I end up doing for reference by other TRR 325 owners.
Regards From Colorado,
Tony

Do you have the 625 or did the 325TR fit in the 327 4" galco phoenix? Thanks in advance.
