If they are for K/L frame, I might be, shoot me a PM. Need the model/part # stamped inside.

UM Boot grips

I need a pair for a 696 .44 special. It has a round butt frame. I'm not trying to horn in. I will defer to anyone ahead of me.
Thank you;
Mike

It they are K frame, I am interested. Have J frame UM grips or other K frame grips to trade.

I am looking for a pair for a square butt K frame, not a round to square conversion.

Is the grips that you are asking about like the ones on the M66 on the right?
If so these were standard equipt on some S&Ws in the 90s and the 696 being one of them. and were only used for a short while.
I have read that they are a Craig Spegal design, and through some disagreement between him and Micheals of Oregen that this grip was discontinued.
The are the most comfortable rubber grip that I have found.

I am looking for the square butt. I have a pair like yours on a 2" Model 10. I need a similar pair for my 4" model 10-5. Is your extra grip a square or round butt?

How difficult a job is getting it cut properly? What type of tool do you use?

Bill

I put the SB frame on the convertion grip & marked it with a ink pen then just cut out the marked area with an exacto knife.. Went slow makeing sure to never cut threw..
The front & back both need to be cut..
I'll take those grips off & try an get a decent pic off what has to be cut.. At least these are still currently available from Smith & Wesson..For Now..
I need to dig threw a few gunshow guys boxes & stock up..
Maybe Mr. Caravello the Grip Guru??

Nice work. There certainly isn't much room for error down near the bottom corners.
