I have since bobbed the hammer and smoothed the trigger face. Still in need of some final finishing of the bob job and a polishing.

Those round butt checkered targets are the EXACT stocks I want for mine!
I just got my 64-2 yesterday. I shot it today. It's probably the most accurate snubbie I've ever shot in my entire life. From about 21 feet (true "combat" distance) I fired all 6 rounds double action and all 6 were touching!
I'd post pics, but I am photographically challenged.

Mod. 64 that was owned by a NYSP CBI Investigator. Not issue, unfortunately.

You Guys are amazing....I really love this little gun and it's next on my list. I've had a couple of them years ago when they were common in the late 80's when I sold dozens of K Framed S&Ws because I "could always pick another one up later"........What a maroon............Ladder13's gun really hit a nerve...I had a S&W Stocking Dealer down the street from me and had easy access to all the NY-1 guns...bought one for my Wife along with a 2" 63 and sold them both about a month later when something else caught my eye....Gone!
Thanks to eveyone who posted...They're all beautiful....I'm thankful for your cooperation....Zebulon
