Oversize j-frame cylinder stop

I have a 642 that has a large amount of rotational play in the cylinder. A little light pressure moves the cylinder out of alignment from the barrel enough that quite a bit of the cylinder face is visible looking down the barrel. I have another 642 and a 64 and they don't look anything similar.

Should I care and if I should care does anyone make an oversize cylinder stop for j-frames?

I suspect you are finding this situation when the gun is at rest, hammer down, trigger forward. Try with the trigger pulled all the way to the rear and most of the freeplay will probably disappear.

Could be that your hand or hand window has worn, You can check it as Alk8944 said by Pulling the trigger & holding it back all the way while testing for play..
I've never put an oversized hand in a J frame or an oversized cylinder stop, so I can't realy comment on them..

Yep. I thought that only worked with Colts. You learn something new everyday.
