The adjustable rear sight elevation screw snapped off of my PC M&P 40 2.0. The remaining stud was impedded in the sight so no good way to extract it, rendering the sight unusable because the unloaded spring forced the notch up totally out of spec.
Funny. Before I realized what happened I was wondering why all of a sudden I could not place shots anywhere near the target, much less even on the paper. A range officer finally came over and asked why I was shooting into the rafters... (subtlely implying I must be blind). The excellent S&W CS is sending a new sight.
Curious. How (un)common is this issue, if at all? Anyone else experience this?
