I learned of a new profession (SKILL) yesterday called Micro-Welding done under a microscope, can anyone advise if there is such a skill in the North Carolina area? I have been told the micro-welding can restore old obsolete broken parts such as triggers or hammers and more that don't come to mind right now, Thanks.

Alan Harton of Single Action Service in Houston can repair about any gun part that needs fine welding. Hammers and triggers are pretty standard but he's done blown off top straps too. He is truly amazing with the TIG welder and has done a lot of work for me.

Jim Stroh of Alpha Precision Gunsmithing in Comer,GA does fine welding and can handle most any kind of firearn repair.

Will check out the leads and suggestions for sure, appreciate your replies, I talked to a gunsmith last weekend at the Raleigh, N.C. show who advised that he sent the broken small parts out to a Micro-Welder for repair and I had never heard of that type welding being possible before. I believe it would be really interesting to see this done. Many thanks for the leads and links and Happy Thanksgiving to all!
