I purchased one of the 5 inch Hi Viz "stocking dealer specials" a few years back. Shot it for a year in ICORE and on steel. The V notch and Hi Viz front were very fast on large close targets, but I never got the hang of fine alignment and they cost me a lot of points as distance increased. I swapped the V notch for a standard square notch blade and haven't looked back.
I bought a K-38 M-14 and the rear sight blade had sort of an "A" line, being narrower at the top than bottom of the notch. Drove me nuts. I filed it square and narrowed the front blade to get a decent sight picture.
