I just picked up a nice 4th Model made around 1896-8 (SN 71XXX) and would like to clean the cylinder and the barrel. Looking at the pistol and the Numrich schematic, it looks as though one removes the pivot screw and then can remove the cylinder and the cylinder pivot stem, in a manner somewhat similar to the breakdown of a Webley. With guns as small as these, I normally do the first step with the gun inside a large plastic bag, that way any "spare parts" are at least where you can see them!
Does anyone know of a published method for taking these apart? With ~250K made I would think that somewhere there is a manual of sorts. Dave_n
