I'm waiting to pick-up a 29-3 at my dealers shop. I checked it out yesterday and dry fired it to test the timing. I noticed if I short stroked the trigger (didn't let it all the way forward) the hammer would cock and fall, but the cylinder would not rotate. I've short stroked other revolvers, and it usually locks-up the action not allowing the trigger to go back.
I'm assuming by not allowing the trigger to go all the way forward, the hand isn't moving all the way down to engage the rachet on the cylinder?
Is this the case, or is there some other problem going on? I won't have the gun in my possession until next friday, but I wanted to know what to look for when I get it.
Thanks.
