You live at least near one of the finest pistolsmiths in America.
Frank Glenn is famous for work on Colt revolvers and S&W.
What's a drive or just shipping the gun to get a true Master to work on it?
Fair enough. All I need at the moment is to have a new front sight installed, but if I dropped it off someplace good I'd have to have some other stuff done too... What are the best bang for the buck things I should consider for my factory gun? This is for a model 57 (N-frame 41, stainless). I also have a Performance Center 657, and I can tell it's a little tighter/crisper all around, but not sure what I would ask for to make it like that (or better?).
Anyone have experience with Nelson Ford (http://www.thegunsmith.com/thegunsmith.html)? An old thread on this forum mentioned him. Frank Glenn looks great but I see the downtime is 2-3 months at best. That's with an appointment!
