Tyler T with Sevice Stocks?
This is probably a really stupid question, but a Tyler T will still fit with service stocks right? I'm pretty sure they'll fit, but I've only seen them on pistols with Magnas.

Yes, here is one of my little "I" Frames, a .32 Hand Ejector from August of 1923 wearing a Tyler T Grip. The Tyler is of a much later vintage, probably 1980s, but is a perfect fit, and makes what I think is an ideal grip:

Service stocks and Magna's are the same thing. Just different names for them. T grips are made for any grip that exposes the metal grip frame of the revolver, if that helps.

BornToLooze:
Smith and Wesson "Stock" nomenclature is a complicated subject. The Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson, 4th ed., uses up about 15 pages covering the subject. I knew what you meant when you said "service stocks" vs. "magnas", but ViperR has a point. All of these stocks except the "target" are "service stocks", but all "service stocks" are not "magnas". Magnas were introduced in 1935 at the same time as the .357 Magnum, and cover the sides of the grip frame, but also rise above the "stock circle", with horns which come up to help spread the recoil of the new, more powerful recolver over a greater part of the shooters hand.
So, from a practical, everyday usage, when you used the term "service stock", versus "magna", I knew what you meant, even if it was not technically fully correct.
Anyway, make sure that you obtain the exact model of Tyler for your gun, the one that I show on the "I" frame above is a number 2, but if I had a post 1953 Chiefs Special "J" frame, I would need a number 1.
What gun are you looking for a Tyler to fit??
Best Regards, Les

Very nice it looks, too!!! I am a great fan of the Tyler's, and have them on many of my revolvers. I think that you have a great looking gun there, and I'll bet that that gives a perfect grip. Had the vintage look and feel, and I'll bet it is a great shooting gun as well. Thanks for sharing with us.
Best Regards, Les

My carry revolvers are all set up w/magnas & a grip adapter. All the square butt Ks fit me perfectly set up that way.

Do they give more surface area? I always find the stock wood grips to be too thin but those look like they also take away the ability to grip higher
