I'm finding ordering parts for my S&W guns, the shipping is insane vendors charge top dollar for shipping and then use the most complicated and cheap way to ship. Any ideas on vendors using low cost shipping

Unless you're ordering mass quantities, shipping will be around $10 per order for most small parts. The most common vendors are S&W, Brownells, Numrich, MGW, Jack First, and Midway.

If you need a specific or hard to find part, you might try posting in the "Want to Buy" section here on the forum.

For the most part, start with the manufacturer! Generally they don't charge shipping, or they are more reasonable. Beats me why no one ever says this when this question is asked! The manufacturer should be a no-brainer!

Add Jack First in Rapid City, SD to the list above, I would check them or Brownell's first if the manufacturer can't help.

Gun Parts Co. (Numrich) would be my last choice, I have received un-usable parts too many times from them.

I totally feel your frustration with the shipping costs for S&W parts. It can really add up, right? I recently had a similar experience while trying to get a shotgun parts kit for my own project. I found a vendor that had decent prices on the parts, but their shipping options were a nightmare—expensive and took forever to arrive! I ended up checking out some local shops, which surprisingly had what I needed without those crazy shipping fees. Sometimes it’s worth it to call around and see if any local vendors can help out.

Some of the gun buster auction sites are a great way to get parts. These are sets of de-milled guns sold by model
