Does anybody know which replacement parts to use in Smith&Wesson's perfromance center 1911s?

There's an Excel-fileI called pistol parts list that you can download from the Smith-Wesson homepage http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/...sectionId=10504

The file does not list a performance center model, but one that is called M1911. Does anyone know if those parts listed under M1911 would fit? Mainly those parts that tend to wear out (springs, pins, slide stop...)

If I'm not mistaken they are all standard 1911 parts, except for the extractor parts.

The only thing that makes it a Performance Center is tighter tollerances and handfit parts.

Any good quality 1911 parts are fine to use as replacements and the parts you are talking of will not require any fitting.

I am wanting to replace my full length guide rod with the GI guide rod is this the best thing to do?

do I need to buy another spring for it when I replace the guide rod with the GI rod or can I keep the same spring that came from the factory?

The same recoil spring should work well.
