    New grips

I’m gonna try and post some clearer pictures of the gun. My dad used to convert them to 44 special back in the 70’s but this is one he just refinished and left in it’s original 357 magnum caliber. I’ll try and highlight what was done to it!

    New grips

Bought a pair of Colorado elk antler grips for a 70’s vintage HP my dad refinished in the 70’s from a forum member. I think they dress it up nicely!

    New stocks ordered: question.

I have some bonded (fake) ivory on various pistols/revolvers in my possession that look okay but it’s definitely not the real thing! I’ve bought some Altamont grips over the years……I just don’t like the laminated stuff.

Look for a Lyman 55 on eBay or in the classified sections in gun forums.

    I own a model 19 again!

Very nice pistola! A 19-4 was the first S&W I bought on my own. Used it as trade fodder about 25 years later. About 6 months ago acquired a 19-4 nickel plated snubby that I also used on a trade. I have no trouble finding them I just can’t seem to hold onto them! I do miss that first 4 inch though.

    Savage model 24.

I’ve always been interested in these but I have never acquired any of them! I prefer the 60’s vintage over the new editions of course. Now I have something else to be on the lookout for………thanks!
