    Sigma/SD ownership thread

I carry my SD40VE daily in a Raw Dog IWB holster. Year round, shorts or jeans. Just a good all around basic pistol that eats every bit of ammo I feed it. I bought mine a little over two years ago and am still happy with it. L8R, Matt

    SD9 trigger pin--Why oh why...

I can usually get that pin to pop out pretty easy, but sometimes it can be a serious pain in the butt! Here my cheesy short video about removing it. https://youtu.be/bkDzjypJ_ys L8R, Matt

    SD9VE Born On Date?

Yeah, the fired casing date will ballpark it for you, but I don't think the serial # actually tells you the date it was manufactured. L8R, Matt

    SDVE Trigger Pull Weight

Absolutely zero malfunctions so far. But I've only put a few hundred rounds through it after the spring change. This pistol is still like a starving pig. It eats everything I feed it. L8R, Matt

    SDVE Trigger Pull Weight

Mine was a little over 8lbs stock. Can't remember the ounces. Now it's at 6lbs 1oz with the Apex kit. A guy in the SD group I'm in installed the Galloway kit in his. His dropped to 4.5lbs. L8R, Matt

    CC with Talon Grips

I have the rubber Talon Grips on my SD40VE and love them. I also carry in an IWB holster and have not had any issues with my shirt catching on them. The feel is excellent with these, a the only issue is why did it take me two years before putting them on my pistol? L8R, Matt

holsters and slip on grips for sd9ve

I carry my SD40VE in a Raw Dog IWB holster. As for the grip, check out the rubberized Talon Grip. It attaches with adhesive. I put one on my pistol a couple weeks ago after having this pistol for a couple years. I have no idea why I waited so long. L8R Matt

    Anybody see this Academy listing?

I wonder if they had a special run made. It says new in the description. Plus the original SDseries had a tritium front sight and a steel M&P rear. This one has the fiber optic sights. That would be sweet if it is a new release! L8R, Matt

    Raw Dog or Clinger Holsters

It does loosen up some, but you can either tighten the screws a little more or trim off some of the rubber grommets to get the shell tighter to the leather. But honestly, the way I look at it is your belt will be aiding in the retention too. I've never had any issues with it. But I believe Raw...

Amazon is my hero for the SD9VE

Which Talon Grips did you order? I put the rubberized Talon Grips on my SD40VE last week and love them. L8R, Matt

installed apex springs, now having trigger reset issues?

Yes, the open end of the trigger return spring faces upwards when you have the pin back in. Apex doesn't recommend removing the sear spring. That may or may not cause the issue. Galloway has a replacement spring in their kit, but there's still one in the seat block when everything is out back...

    Raw Dog or Clinger Holsters

I own both and like them both. The Raw Dog carries my SD40VE, and the Clinger Atom carries the Ruger LC9S. So I M of no help to you, I guess. L8R, Matt

    Help Requested

I know for sure that it's not connected to the front metal locking block. Whenever I installed the Apex spring kit, the locking block, or whatever it is, comes out. L8R, Matt

Instead of an actual spring, it could be a piece of U channel imbedded in the frame there for structural rigidity. This mystery must be solved! L8R, Matt

You're welcome. As for the red spring, I have no clue. All I can think of it's there to keep pressure on that part of the frame because the recoil spring goes through there. L8R, Matt
