    Which would you prefer?

Well, I traded an M&P 9fs even up for my M-59, and I think both sides came out pretty good on that trade. I can't imagine that any Sigma would be even up with anything but a VERY beat up M-59.

    My "new" M-59

Moosedog- I used to own a bright nickle M-39 that looked just like your 59. I really liked that pistol, I have never understood why I sold it. When I bought my 59 the dealer also had a nickle one with black grips, but I waited just one day too long and it was gone. I think I came out pretty good...

    My "new" M-59

Finally got my (new to me) M-59 to the range today, and it was outstanding-one of my best ever first times out with a new pistol. I first ran thru all 5 magazines fairly quickly, with mixed ammo load in each, just to get a feel for function. Then on 8 yard silhouettes I pretty much shot out the...

I JUST BOUGHT MY FIRST 59!

I should have photos up soon. When I bought mine I missed out on a nickle one by a day or so, I actually handled both, and waited too long. I am still happy with mine, and bought it based largely on the strength of a very nice M-39 I owned in the late 70's. I am not up on mag prices, but I got 4...

I JUST BOUGHT MY FIRST 59!

$350 in CT, where everything costs more, at the (probably) highest priced gunshop in the state. On the other hand, prices on GunBroker are in that range, I had no shipping or transfer fees, and I made a hands-on purchase, knowing that it was in great condition. At this point in my life, I'm more...

I JUST BOUGHT MY FIRST 59!

I just got a 59 too. Mine is in very nice condition with the box- I just added a set of smooth CocoBolo Hogue grips, and I picked up four almost new looking magazines on GunBroker.

    Should I?

My 9c is a very nice pistol, thoroughly reliable and very accurate. It's a very natural shooter for me, and conceals very well IWB. I think you'll be very happy with it.

    M 59 Manufacture Date

Is there a Manufacture Date resource of some kind that would help me get an approximate date on a Model 59, ser# A66708x. This is a blue model that does not appear to be a "59dash" model. It is in very good condition, with the original box (no manual, unfortunately). Thanks for any help available
