    More Model 10 questions

It's a shame you don't like the gun? I own a 10-7 and it's one of my favorites. Whether they made a million or not it's really a fine shooter. Here in Fl. I don't think you will get even $300 from a gun dealer? Private sale will get you a little more but you're selling a really nice gun no...

    Just got a 19-5 4" .357 Combat Magnum.

It's a pleasure to shoot and sights were fine without adjustment. The .38's were like a lamb with almost no recoil and i got about a 4" group at 7', first shots. It just got better from there. The .357's were a surprise!! There was a lot of recoil compared to the .38 and a huge fireball with...

    Model 10-9 Price Check

I freakin' love my 10-7 .38 4"!! The trigger is buttery and even with fixed sights everyone that has a go wants to buy it. If you want a great all around gun I think that's a fair price if it's in good shape? Mine was made in 1982 and it's got forever life to it. Make the move! Tony

    Just got a 19-5 4" .357 Combat Magnum.

I've waited patiently for three months on this account and even given him some phone support at no charge. I'm in business just like he was. Not trying to be mean but I can't support every customer that is shot down by ths economy. He was a customer for over 14 years and I've helped him...

    Just got a 19-5 4" .357 Combat Magnum.

Hey, I just got a gun from a customer that couldn't pay his bill. It's a Model 19-5 ser. #ACD4xxx with a 4" barrel, nickel plated and in brand new shape. It has large grips and he said it was a "Combat Magnum". He said it had a target hammer and trigger and gonco alvez grips? Has been...

What guns have you regreted selling?

Not a 'Smith but a Colt 32-20 Police Positive that an old neighbor gave me for fixing a pipe under her house. I just had to have a semi auto....... Traded for a lousy gun (Tanfoglio .380) and made a stupid move. Young, Dumb, and Full of ***. ; ( Tony

What's your thoughts on gold inlay?

You got that right! nothing like a beautifully engraved and inlaid shotgun, of course it's the 20k to 100k part that's hard for me to manage..... ; ( Tony

Not sure I'm in the right place? 10-7

Thanks for the info.! I've had the gun for awhile and one of my buddies asked me how old it was, and I had no clue.... ; ) I now understand that transition and why it might be an '81 with 80's configuration. Thanks again, Tony

What's your thoughts on gold inlay?

Beautiful set of semi autos!!! I like the threaded barrel H&K especially (second to the S&W of course)! Tony

What's your thoughts on gold inlay?

Gold Filling. what I used was a vial of powdered gold that I got from my mom many years ago, maybe an oz.? I mixed some of it with two part epoxy and very quickly rubbed it in and then cleaned the excess with Acetone. It took very little of the gold to do the gun. I guess it's kinda pimpy...

Now I'm more confused? The 1980 to present says non pinned barrels? It also has the swing out cylinder and exposed ejector plus the three screws? Where do I belong besides the loony bin? ; ) Tony

Not sure I'm in the right place? 10-7

New to the forum and don't know where my S&W belongs as far screws, pinned barrel etc. I would like to find out how old it is? It belonged to my father and I don't remember when he got it? The serial # is 8D416xx and it is a 3 1/2" model 10-7. If anyone can help i would appreciate it? Tony

Hi all! first time to even go on this forum so I'm a total newbie. I own a S&W 10-7 with a 3 1/2" barrel. It's a beauty and is extremely accurate with the right person pulling the trigger, not always me.... ; ) Tony
