i bought a box of the federal hydra shoks for carry and .38 specials for the range.

i'll be shooting .38 specials at the range primarily with a few full loads to get the feel. i will be carrying .357 loads when not at the range. the way i see it if god forbid i have to use it for self/family defense i won't feel the recoil with the adrenaline pumping.

i just ordered my 2nd handgun, the 340pd, my first snubbie. i have an lcp but i wanted the piece of mind of a heavier, more powerful caliber. any comments would be appreciated and any advice on holsters.
