You guys are not doing your part

A buddy of mine owns a winery. He and his buddies blame some of the decline on the legalization of pot. Never been much a drinker. Strictly social. Maybe one a month, usually with a cigar.

Does anyone else still use a Speed Wrench Driver?

I don't recall ever seeing one of those screwdrivers. My grandfather, a master tech for Chrysler/Dodge, had a nice tool set consisting mostly of Snap On and Craftsman. Also in his kit, he had several box and open end wrenches that he custom made by heating and contorting them into the...

    2" vs 3" .38/.357 revolvers

I have several 2.5" and 3" K frames and I actually prefer the 2.5", but not for any meaningful reason, especially ballistics. Pick the one that works or looks better to you.

$500 if you could have lived without it; a max of $800 if you really it.

    45 Colt Mountain Gun

I am content with my 625-6 MG, so I won't be looking for a new one from S&W; however, I am looking at one of the new 4" Anacondas in 45 Colt.

Spyderco knives - did a bit of research this morning and learned quite a bit!

Back in my working days, I remember all the cops raging about Spyderco knives; personally, I've never seen the attraction. The plastic/nylon scales are a huge turnoff. To my eye, they just look cheap.

    SHOCKWAVE SHOTGUNs

I have the Tac 13 and 14. Although they will work fine for home defense, I bought them as a novelty. If I were to use one for home defense, I go with the 13 and dove loads. The only thing I like about the Mossberg is the tang safety.

    629-2 Mountain Revolver?

To my mind, you did great, win/win. More desirable gun at a better price.

    629-2 Mountain Revolver?

Yep, you have a beautiful Mountain Revolver, the father of the Mountain Gun. You’re correct about the Pachmayers, but the combats look great! 😊

    Gun Show in Bryan/College Station

Tom, nice to know there are currently some good shows, as the shows here in Nevada have been on a study decline since Covid. That said, there are still some good finds, but they are harder to find and sellers aren’t wheeling and dealing much lately; they want yours for nothing and sell it for...

    S&W 629-2 or -3 Mountain Gun

I’d go with a 629-2, -3 or -4. They can be found for about the same price as a new one. $1000 to $1300.

Air Force tells brass they can OK guns on base

I hope current airmen get more small arms training than we did. When I went through basic in the 80’s, we got 50 rds of 22lr and a converted M16. It wasn’t until I became an SP (811) that we received real firearms training, especially those of us that went through ABGD.

    Home Defense Shotguns

I have Remington’s Tac 13 and 14. I bought them as novelties, but if I needed a home defense shotgun, I’d reach for the Tac 13 loaded with number 7.5 or 8 dove loads.

    357 Sig conversion's

I have factory 40 and 357 barrels for my P229. Runs flawlessly using the same mags and recoil spring. I like the ballistics of the 357 Sig. I’ve considered getting a G32 or 33.

What gun are you on the lookout for?

    I’d be happy to find a nice 3” 547 and a 1964 nickel 2.5” Python.

    19-3 Show & Tell

For a 4”, you did good. All my 19s are 2.5” and this is my only -3, which came with these nice combats. I recently acquired this one for about $925; with the combats I considered it a good deal.
