An important aspect of "doing our part" is supporting bars and bar culture. A good bar is a beautiful thing.
Public Houses are some of the happiest places on earth.
The welcome mat is always out and the drinking light is always on.

I was surprised to learn that alcohol is classified as a carcinogen,I must be living under a rock,I didn't realize that is "common knowledge ".Saw this today. A new low. Don't just sit there, do something. https://www.reuters.com/business/he...health-concerns-rise-survey-finds-2025-08-13/

Hang in there, your life will be better if you give it up. At some point, you may may miss it a little, but you won't crave it. Best wishes, pal.Had quit except for a few at some events until wife passed. Need to quit again and am working on it……..
Statistically, they don't. Many alcohol abusers die a miserable lingering death.I wish I knew why all the drunks I know live such a long time.
^^^^^^^ exactly this !I didn't drink for 14 years.
Then I turned 15!
Then I got married and had kids. Quit again-since the kids didn't drink ergo had no hangovers.
Then I hit 65 and Covid and discovered the joys of doing my own pours and relaxing outside under my oak trees listening to Greatful Dead tapes of old concerts and decided rigt then that **** it! I'm 65 yers old and I'm gonna drink! Period. I buy expensive Isla single malt and enjoy it. I buy Hendricks and enjoy it. I don't drink and drive, I don't drink on school nights and I don't smoke weed. I don't run around on my wife and cut the grass when needed. Man's gotta do something
Not all libations come in liquid form.
