    Missouri Bullet Co. experience

I too like Missouri bullets but the lack of lead bullet diameter kills me. I buy my 357 bullets from them but I need .431" diameter bullets for my 44 mag! Most companies offer at least two diameters of lead. I am sure making one saves in cost but is costing them some business too.

    What did you shoot/reload today?

Shot my 6" M-19, 6" M-28, 4" M-28, and my 6 1/2" M-629. All ammo was reloaded by me using Hard Cast lead.

.357 magnum loads for K frame

I agree with staying with the heavier bullets. I shoot 158 gr Hard Cast with Unique and Universal all the time in my K frame 357s and have never had any issues. I personally don't like the 2400 powder for my 357 loads because of the much greater recoil.

    MOD 15-3 any info

I think the model 15 is hands down the best revolver going for the money. It is one of the few guns I own that I will NEVER get rid of. There is a reason why there are so many and the cops loved them!

    Tens of thousands rusting away

Ask him for the worse one and restore it yourself. I found a Dan Wesson model 15 that had been sitting in a wet case for two years and was a MESS! I spent a lot of free time resurfacing all the pieces and bringing it back to life. What a great feeling of accomplishment when done!

    629-1 hand busted

Was out shooting my 629-1 today and the cylinder stopped rotating. I took the gun apart and found the pin busted off the Hand. Is this a "drop-in" part or should a gunsmith do this? Thanks in advance.

    28-2

I am the one that ended up with this fine gun and I AM greatful but one thing my buddy left out is that the price doesn't reflect the $1000 worth of shooting lessons I have given him! Thanks Tubby

Is this a 29 or pre 29? A couple more pictures

Hey Erik, Dad did well! Any chance I know this friend? I have an idea I may have seen him on the camp porch a few times! That's a beautiful gun and I can't wait to see it in person this summer. Nice to see a "Colt Man" showing some love for the 29.......

617, I have all three of those guns you mentioned. Love them. Thanks for mentioning such historical guns to spruce this post up a bit!

Tell me again why I need a .22?

Did anyone read the part where he states that he lives in Las Vegas and there are no "dumps" to shoot at and the ranges really frown on you bringing "reactive targets". He simply stated that shooting a .22 pistol at targets is not much fun.... who doesn't agree with that?? IT SUCKS! Now a .22...

    ultrasonic cleaner vs tumbler cleaning?

I use a used fabric softener sheet cut into four pieces, lizard litter, a little Nu-Finish and a couple hours in the vibrator. Great, cheap results.

    lee 3 hole turret press

I use the 3 hole and bought an extra turret and the Lee universal deprimer die. I use the feeder tubes with the extra terret set up with just the deprimer and hammer away all the primers just as fast as I can pull. Then I clean the brass, change out the turret to the one set up for reloading and...

    Tula Primers

I have loaded lots of 38spl, 357mag, 44spl, and 44mag using Tula large and small pistol primers with no problems at all. I DO have a friend that had problems with the small rifle mag primers being a little oversized in diameter and they would not press into his new brass. I continue to buy Tula...
