SOLD! WTT: My 10-7 for your shooter 1917, .455 HE, or Heavy Duty

Still available. The 1917 at the shop was a dog. Too much end shake, weak rifling, refinished, and looked like homemade grips. And priced at $799. NO way.

SOLD! WTT: My 10-7 for your shooter 1917, .455 HE, or Heavy Duty

For trade is my very nice Model 10-7 with pinned, 4 inch tapered barrel. It appears to never have been fired(but not sure). Serial number, pinned barrel, and logo put it at about 1981 production. There is only a very faint ring on the cylinder. The blue finish is 98+ percent and would be...

    My 1917 for any comments!

Very nice. I'd take it for the right price. With the property mark gone I'd be tempted to cut it down to 4 inches. I like the look and feel of the shorter barrels. Let us know how it shoots. Good luck.

    3 Strikes.....This Commercial 1917 is OUT!!!

Looks like a good project. I'd love to find a 1917 in that condition with that problem for that price. I'd want to re-barrel to 4 or 4.5 inches anyway. Good luck and keep us posted on the project.

    Magazine rattle???

I'm new to the M&P series as I've been a Glock guy for a long time. I like some of the features on the M&P that Glock lacks such as the visual loaded chamber indicator and "beaver tail". That being said, the magazines of my M&P 40 rattle when they're loaded. The cartridges actually rattle...

Sad mod to a 38/44 HD

ooops. Copy, will remove the link From what I've been able to find so far, guys offering HDs have either really over priced dawgs or they think they've got the most rare of all S&Ws. Prices jut seem kind of high compared to what the books say they're worth. Maybe I'm just cheap. What really...

Sad mod to a 38/44 HD

So, I'm starting to look around for an HD and came across this on GB: I was excited about it until I read the description a little more. Someone reamed it out to 357 mag! So sad. Can that be corrected with a new cylinder or best to just leave as is? I guess it's still safe with 38 Spl...

    Triple my age: 38/44 Outdoorsman

I too am a "youngster" who's starting to really appreciate the older Smiths. I've begun to look for a Heavy Duty myself as I see prices rising to a point that I won't be able to afford in the future. I'd willing give up one of my Glocks to have a decent 38/44 with a 4 or 5 inch barrel. We'll...
