I bought a 50 foot extension cord once at a garage sale. I think it was $5. That’s about it around here. Lol. Nice score OP.

    Winchester m70 prewar Super Grade

2152hq, Thanks for the informative post. I am just now realizing the magnitude of the fakes that are in this hobby (who woulda thunk in so many different models?) What a shame. I am glad my meager collection is all “meat and potatoes”, standard grade guns bought reasonably priced in high...

    Scored a "nice" 2" 36 this morning

Maybe a bit off topic here, but…. In the past few years I’ve noticed a high level of joy when my wife spends time with her 93 year old dad in all aspects of plants, gardening etc. He gets such a kick out of her help and companionship. Kudos to your better half.

Is the .32 long / .32 Magnum dead

Yup, the .32 SW long is dead. So is the .22 REM Jet, the .35 Remington, the .250-3000 Savage, the .303 Savage, the . 300 Savage, the .32 Winchester. I have guns chambered in all these and others. I love me some dead cartridges, they have put lots of meat on the table over the years.

    HELP , I DESTROYED MY LOVED 686

All is not lost. You did NOT do any permanent damage. That is the beauty of stainless steel. You can achieve the uniform finish you desire. Looking at your photos it appears that the only thing needed to do is get some metal polishing compound (Flitz or something similar), a soft cotton rag...

    New From New York

Welcome from central NY state (Mohawk Valley).I have a 39-2. It’s my favorite 9mm. Never had a jam and it is easy to carry, easy to hold, and easy to shoot. Just a great all around pistol. Yours looks in fine shape, and is an early one with the long extractor.

Second Generation Colt Buntline 45lc (update post 22)

When zooming in on that photo of the grip bottoms, I see what appear to be Shrager lines. That is indicative of real ivory. Also it appears that maybe sometime in its past the stocks could have been stained with that old home remedy of regular old tea. Good luck with your discoveries and your...
