Just finished loading 100 rounds of 38 special 148 grain wad cutters. Since I bought most of the components prior to 2020, I loaded them for 0.16 per round.

I hunted for the perfect caliber for a long time. Eventually settled. On the 25-06. Wide range of bullet weights and loads. Had a 308 in a Remington M600. It was a hammer on the shoulder. Ended up with a ruger 77 in 25-06.

Picked up one close. Had Target trigger and hammer. Stocks were Lew Sanderson. Mine was SAO. I’ll probably letter it to see what grips were original. Same condition probably 95%. Paid 610 at auction.

I started collecting Randalls back in 1983 when they first came out. Collected them till I bought my first S&W M41 and M52. Still have 8 of them in the safe. Last few I’ve seen at gun shows run in the 1500+$ range. Great guns although most needed a little tuning when I got them.

Picked the 14 no dash at auction today. SN K366xxx which I assume to be 1959. It is a triple T’s except the grips are aftermarket. It is also SAO, with a very nice trigger. I assume these grips are probably Herretts? Anybody have a better guess as to the grip maker? BTW paid $650...

Looks fine to me. The only guns I ever saw were ones used in silhouette shooting in the early 80’s. Mostly guys using rifle powder (IMR 4227) in pistol cartridges. Early 80’s Ruger recalled their 357 MAX Blackhawk due to flame cutting.

Lots of threads about the M52 here. Pay attention to the threads on ammo and reloading. I’m a M52 junkie and reload. The most pleasant gun I shoot other than the M41.

As usual, Sevens said everything I would have. AS the M39 and M52 stocks are the same you might find a better set on eBay. I’ve noticed M52 magazines are getting a little cheaper lately. Saw a factory mag go for $80 the other day on eBay. Probably a result of triple K coming out with...
