I remember an episode where Joe Friday stated that his personal choice for a handgun was the Browning HiPower. If I remember correctly, he was undercover talking to a member of an extremist group when he said that. Found the episode " Intelligence" from 1969 says he prefers the Browning 9mm.

1st box of 38-44 I've seen for sale lately. I was very happy with the price considering what I've seen these go for.

Carried one daily in the military 80's-90's. Have since moved on to folders with a pocket clip. Last 15 years or so my EDC blade been a Buck Strider.
