    Winchester 1892 32-20

That is a beautiful rifle, especially for an early production Model 1892. .32-20 is one of my very favorite rifle cartridges and you got that one at a price that is a "real deal!" I have an 1896 vintage Winchester Model 1892 in .32-20 as well, but mine is well used. I've used it myself for...

Grail gun found this morning....beautiful 3 inch model 13

3-inch fixed sight K-Frame .357s ought to be cataloged today and still should be wildly popular with the handgun buying public. Great score! Apparently that is a decent price in today's market.

.38 spl and .357 mag ammo for 6 inch barrel

I don't worship at the altar of bullet expansion as the one true way of measuring terminal performance effectiveness. If fact I don't place much stock in it at all. I completely disbelieve all this noise about how modern 9mm ammunition with its nebulous, high tech advanced expanding bullet...

.38 spl and .357 mag ammo for 6 inch barrel

I avoid lightweight bullets and loads for both cartridges. For me, 158 grain bullets get the nod and it doesn't matter whether it's a 2-inch barrel or a 8 3/8-inch barrel. Depending on the chore the 158s are loaded mild or wild. I leave the lightweight bullets to lesser cartridges like .380...

Model 10 and 27 cylinder modification for 9mm?

I would not be interested in using 9mm in a revolver at all. When I was young I obtained some 125 grain jacketed soft point 9mm component bullets in a box of old reloading supplies. I loaded them up in .38 Special cases under a suitable charge of Unique and shot them away in a Model 10...

Buy nickel revolvers and leave the stainless steel ones alone.

You probably save a bundle on toilet paper.

Who Taught You Revolver Shooting? - Poll

Messrs. Smith & Wesson I suppose, in the form of a Model 10 Heavy Barrel. I got the revolver at 18 and had unlimited shooting opportunities and endless supply of ammunition. It was enough to teach me all sorts of bad habits soon discovered, but taking near a lifetime to properly unlearn. I...

Do you remove the cylinder when cleaning your DA revolvers?

I will not. I haven't yet degraded a side plate or a screw and I have removed yoke screws many times since the mid 1970s, especially on favorite revolvers I have owned since the mid 1970s. Cylinder removal beats awkward revolver cleaning while dealing with an opened cylinder.

Do you remove the cylinder when cleaning your DA revolvers?

A silly presumption on the part of a gunsmith. Just an opinion.

Carrying an older gun a bad idea?

I've gone and grown old with some of my carry guns. I'm still toting them and it's looking like they'll outlast me.

    Where is the Unique

I have lots of Unique on hand, but would be happy to lay in some more. I'd be tickled to find an 8 lb. jug.

I Don't Get It, Revolver VS Semi Auto Pistols?

It's an "all semi-auto firearms, all the time" world with the current generation. And, I've been called narrow minded for not jumping on that narrow minded bandwagon! They're the ones who are missing out on gratifying shooting experiences. To think that I though we were suggestible in the...

    Is a model 10 really a $450 gun now?

While that may not be the deal of a century it is the deal of this century! Fantastic Model 10 and deal.

Henry Big Boy REVOLVER!! Have you heard?

I'm glad that they provide choices of guns to buy on the marketplace, but I am no fan of Henry anything, this latest revolver offering included. A highly overrated, over-priced manufacturer who came up with a clever, but oh so cheap-o design for a lever-action .22 rifle and took it from...

    Is a model 10 really a $450 gun now?

I saw the brother of the Model 10 described in the opening post on a exhibit table at Tulsa two weeks ago with a tag dangling from its trigger guard unapologetically priced at $1000, no box, no accessories, no muss, no fuss.

    Combat Masterpiece

Every pistolero on earth needs a Combat Masterpiece whether they know it or not. Even the ones whose minds are clouded by all things plastic pistolas. Great looking revolver! Thanks for posting it.

    +P in old Model 36?

I have a Baby Chief's Special here with a serial number of 2018 that shipped in March of 1952. I've shot it with +P 158 grain lead semi-wadcutter ammunition. Shot several cylinders-full for sight verification and familiarization. Nothing happened. I have a K-Frame Hand Ejector Military &...

    JM Browning designed rifles

I'd be tickled pink with either an original Winchester Model 1895 or a Miroku if chambered for .30-06. I'd just treat it like I do my low-numbered Model 1903 Springfield and use it with handloads that mimicked original .30-06 ballistics. Say, 2700 fps with 150 grain bullets, obtained from...
