    Whats your latest purchase? "guns/accessories"

Thank you. No, I don’t know who produced this. I wish I knew. I don’t believe the furniture really “goes” with a non Trap model, but I acquired it for very little, so… who cares? I like it, even if it’s not all correct or original. I agree, the M12 is good collector piece -especially...

    Whats your latest purchase? "guns/accessories"

I don't typically post here, because I acquire firearms somewhat frequently (3 already this year). However, I want to share this time because I really love the maple figuring on this recent acquisition, a (rather ordinary) 1959 vintage Winchester Model 12. What do y'all think? -Bill...

    $799 for a 4” 586 Classic?

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I am always on the lookout for non-ILS S&W revolvers, usually N-frames. This is my first L-frame, ILS or otherwise. For $646.65 plus tax, I am happy. :D -Bill EDITED: I contacted S&W CS about the short screw in the rear sight base. (The cause of the leading...

    $799 for a 4” 586 Classic?

I was able to try out the trigger. Both DA and SA were excellent. The only ILS revolver I’ve had was the .460 S&W X-Frame. (I still have a key but, hope to never need it!) -Bill

    $799 for a 4” 586 Classic?

Thanks for the clear picture. I could be mistakenly identifying a mark that I think is there. I’ll have to look more closely tomorrow to see whether it was “short-screwed” or not. -Bill

    $799 for a 4” 586 Classic?

It’s in a local shop, used but not very much. Includes the blue plastic case, literature, and red plastic ring. I’ve read (here, in an older thread) that the short screw in the rear sight base near the cylinder gap allows gas turbulence to mark the cylinder. You can just make that out in the...

    CZ-75?

As others have already said, “Buy the CZ!” The CZ 75 family of pistols is exceedingly good… I have just 4 now, but have had others. (Therefore, I no longer keep a Hi Power in the stable… these scratch the itch for me!) -Bill Tactical Sport Orange w/ Lowest Known “B” below… from ‘93...

    M25-2 4" .45ACP ---- Corrected letter arrived!

Have you gotten a corrected letter? As rare as that gun is, it's a must. Beautiful revolver! I love the N-frames and, having large hands, find them most comfortable to grip. Please post the updated letter with more pictures. -Bill Here's another barrel comparison picture of a couple of...

How many guns do you own?

I agree with the vast majority here that it's best not to ask, so I don't, ever. That's not to say I haven't privately observed that member X clearly owns more than I do. 'Nothing wrong with being curious, (and maybe a little green with envy) but, so what? I believe it's not about "the...
