    Inherited a 66-1

You can get the correct grips easily enough, I know it would be nicer to have the original, but BITD it was common to replace the OEM grips with Pachmeyer style rubber grips.

Why the disdain for “rich” people ?

There are many people who have more money than me. Some inherited it, some worked very hard for it, some invested wisely. There are many people who have less money than me. Some were born into poverty, some have addictions and lost everything, some don't make as much as I do. Some made poor...

What Has Happened to the Smith and Wesson Forum?

I guess I missed all this. I learned the hard way not to break the rules, so I steer clear of anything that even looks like it might be verboten. I'm glad that this forum doesn't allow politics, etc. Sometimes it's a good thing to just chill and enjoy the Smudge memes.

Here's a young lady with an unusual vocation

Google "John Gregory Hoover Dunmore PA" He sells and services Hoovers, and the man knows his stuff. We've bought 3 from him over 20 years, and he repairs them in house. I will not buy a vacuum cleaner from a big box or Amazon as long as John is in business.

    Airport Scanner Experience

I had not flown for 30 years until I flew in 2022 to Orlando for a Buying Group convention. I'll be 58 this year, and have zero plans to fly commercial again. No thanks. For so many reasons.

The mire gets deeper for Boeing

Jack Boeing is spinning in his grave. This is the company that made the world beater jet airliner (707) from the jet tanker (KC-135) that was made to keep the war hammer (B-52) flying 24/7/365 against any Soviet threat in the 1950's How the mighty have fallen.

Girsan MCP35 PI (FM Detective Clone)

I can't speak for Girsan, but the Tisas M1911A1 US Army ASF is really something. The closest clone of a USGI WWII that I've seen, and it's a Series 70, not 80. And VERY affordable. Love mine, so far.

Can't find any more guns I want to buy!

I thinned it down the last few years. I have no one to pass them on to. I did pick up a Tisas M1911A1 US Army ASF (the copy of the 1943 Remington Rand), That was worth it. I'd really be hard pressed to say I want anything new. I think, at some point, I'd like a late 80's - early 90's Corvette...

Holy Cow!!! 55th high school reunion

We had a 5th, just a rehash of senior year with legal drinking and a chance to hook up with someone you didn't in school. No 10 or 15. 20th was epic, held at a classmate's house who "made it". The guy was a hard worker and really a down to earth type, you'd never know he was worth some serious...

    Summer has finally started.

Anyone need rain? I'd be happy to send you some. If you promise to send some sun and warmth. I feel like I'm in the PNW instead of the Poconos.
