In my experience dry firing over a spent cartridge will not negatively impact the gun. This is with 20,000+ rounds through various rimfire pistols mainly a 617. I wouldn't worry about it. If your not the first owner, i would say the original owner dry fired...but if the gun still works...dont...

My pet .38spl load is made with unique. Its the one powder i can buy anywhere. I load them very light...just fast enough to not keyhole at 25 yards...works well enough but it is very dirty.

I would say a 686...the barrel length would be a matter of personal taste. If i could only have one and i carried...which i do...it would be a 2.5. If i didnt carry, it would be a 4 inch

I just found a blued 29 with three inch barrel. It has target grips and the lock. No box though it apears to be unfired. What would a good price for this be?
