Where do you get the month or date that your shield was made? Only thing I have to go by is the date on the spent casing envelope. Is there a way to look up your serial # to find when it was made exactly? Doesn't really matter, just curious more than anything.

Yep, that was ONE of the issues I had with mine also. Had I seen the inside machine work of this gun I would of never bought the R51 just based on that alone. It was horrible. Now I have a Shield 9 and happy happy happy

Congrats, just picked up a Shield this week myself....only in 9mm. Around 100 rds and zero issues so far

I didn't see it mentioned in the manual but it probably was and I missed it, and you would of thought I would of tried pushing up on the slide lock, but obviously didnt.....damn handgun rookies anyways. haha thanks fellas.
