If it were I I would thread I piece to thread into the frame then drill through the frame and the threaded plug to keep the bit from breaking. I’ve used this method on farm equipment I’ve worked on its not fool proof but it works Ted

Yes my understanding is that those where available before the coke style my post war N frames was this type of stock, except the 44 mag HE and my 375 mag HE and they have the coke type.

That’s to bad, but it’s still a great fined. I don’t believe there are even to many empty boxes out there. There is likely a lot of 32-44 owners would love to have even an empty box to go with there NM 3 targets. Thanks for letting us see one.

That’s amazing I never thought I’d see a box of 32-44s. I pick up a new model 3 a while ago and made up a few round using 32-20 cases with round balls. It was fun to shoot this old time target pistol. I envy you having found a box, is the box full? Here’s a pic of my 32-44

A 629 4” ported it not special but it’s my go to gun for whatever I want to do, easy to shoot even heavy loads and accurate.
