    38 special +p

I want Winchester 125gr PDX1 38 +p to have in my revovler for defense. If I do that, I'd like to have some 125 gr 38+p ammo to plink with so that I am comfortable with the feel and load. any suggestions??? I suppose logic would say to plink with 357s so that I am overly 'prepared', but I am...

    A couple questions

Potentially not as strong... however, the MIM parts are technically 'better' parts as the tolerances are tighter during manufacturing. It should be noted that in tons and tons of other industries, from automotive to medical, MIM metal parts are used almost exclusively for this tolerance...

SW 642 Pro PP or Ruger LCR

Thanks... I plan on using an IWB holster or an ankle holster just depending on what I am wearing... I don't think I'll mind the added bulk of the hogue tamer in wither one of those uses if I go with a LCR. But, I suppose I could get one of those for the 642 also... I have just heard great...

SW 642 Pro PP or Ruger LCR

Thoughts? I have heard so many opinions.. and have held both guns... LCR feels great and I like what I read about the recoil. Both look like good snubbies and I am somewhat torn.

    Performance Center 625

I totally agree. I have the 357 TRR8 PC and SA is but a breath of air... smooth and silky 2 stage DA... Can't imagine doing a thing to it to change the action. BTW, the 625 is super, super nasty awesome. I want. :D

Happy Day - TRR8 with a holster that fits with rails!!!

Now, I know it isn't as pretty as some of your hand tooled leather gorgeous pieces, but I looked far and wide to find a holster to fit my 327 PC TRR8 with both rails mounted and all but gave up. Uncle Mikes had a holster to fit a 5" S&W 500/460 - and I decided to give it a go. It is a size 53...

    Concealed Carry

Alright gents. Thanks for the comments. I appreciate the knowledge very much. I'd like to take the question slightly deeper now... S&W 642 pp or Ruger LCR 357 I have seen the cutting on old lcr's, and it has been remedied. Plus, if I go with the 357, the frame is steel. All looks good on...

    Concealed Carry

sorta dual purpose. Looking for something my wife is going to be able to shoot, as well as enjoy. and a full time carry weapon for me She is 5'2 125 lbs. I am 6'1 185 lbs. I am leaning towards the 22mag - not because of the stopping power, because surely I know a nice 38hp will perform...

    Concealed Carry

Hello again to all: I am sure I will get a few responses in this thread that i'd suspect - and hopefully more that I wouldn't... Here we go... 5-shot 357/38 or 7 shot 22mag ??????

    386 xl or trr8

geeeez... that aimpoint is nasty!!! and nasty in all of the good ways nasty can be. Do you hear the shreik of jealously coming through??? To a fellow TRR8 owner - how do you feel about me attaching a viridian c5l to my under lug? Does the aiming thing and the lighting thing... just sounds like...

    386 xl or trr8

Probably not the best to comment here... but for what it is worth, as a new TRR8 owner, I can really say that I have never shot a nicer gun. The 386 is sweet too... I am not sure if the 386 is turned for moon clips, but they are a dream to work with - I just checked out the SW site and it didn't...

    So Much Negativity

Well Cajun, You just made my day. I enjoy all types of frozen food products! Thank you all for the reassurance, the discipline, and the ribbing. I look forward to the knowledge, comradery, and most importantly, more powder stained fingers. Cheers S&W'ers. :D

    So Much Negativity

Not trying to ruffle feathers, not trying to whine, or complain... but in my meager tenure of membership here, I have noticed a dramatic increase in negative posts. - assaults on S&W quality, people, customer service - assaults on S&W guns newer than 1986 +/- I just wonder - with eager eyes...

    Range Report - TRR8

Gentlemen, I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was blissful, as I was able to take my new TRR8 out to the farm and shoot it for the first time on Saturday. I used 3 types of ammo - Remington 135 gr .38 Remington 158 gr .357 Federal Nyclad 125 gr .38 The latter is designated for my HD/SD...

1st Post to S&W Forum Re: M327 NightGuard

Moonclips The moonclips are nothing short of a magazine for wheel guns. They allow you to keep your spent brass, reload quickly, lesson prep time at the range.... etc. I have also found that the moons that S&W provide with their guns are top quality, easy to add/remove bullets, and retain shape.

    TRR8 adjustable rear sight

Anyone have an adjustable rear sight that is loose in its seat? It isn't falling out at all or anything, just wiggles a little. I am not concerned at all about it, but wondered if this is normal, or if there is a way to tighten it a bit. Thanks.
