    45ACP LEE dies: D2 E1 E5 Which is what?

Success! Thank you all ! After a little more adjusting The flaring went well. These bullets in deed have a very little flat nose. But I had an other idea and that works great. I drilled the seating stem open so it pushes on the rim of the bullet. That way the stem does straighten crooked placed...

    45ACP LEE dies: D2 E1 E5 Which is what?

Gary, I looked at that but these bullets have a round top. Still I will compare the top with the stem and otherwise I reshape the stem. I have three of them and a small lath. I took the afternoon off to reload.

    629-1 5" project

Looks very nice! I have had the same done to my 6" 686 but than cut to 4". The 6" is to heavy for me. I asked for a pinned front sight in a base pinned with two pins to the barrel. The gunsmith decided different but still I am happy with the result.

My first antique S&W; model 2 from 1864. Shooting results added!

Last Saturday I shot with my Model 2. I used cartridges from HC collection. I had only five shots but the revolver proofed to shoot well with them. Maybe it has not been fired for more than 100 years but no problems for such quality made gun! I must say it's only about 13 yards. Last time I shot...
