Not a pre 26 but i finially got a 26.

A buddy of mine works for GM. He found a product they use on rims thats a liquid ceremic solution. He has used it on a few of his guns. I dont know about rust prevention but it makes cleaning guns easier. Powder residue dosent seem to stick on as bad.

I picked up a 1950 target made in late 55. Its hands down my favorite gun. Love the .44 spcl. Before it i got a lipseys stainless flat top bisley. Lovecshooting them both.

I've seen the trugger assembly pulled out of a gp. Your right their a pain. My buddy did it for me. He thinks its because the inside of the frame and assembly are not polished. Its however they came out . Things dont just slide in and out. I got one of the lipsey's huns in 327. Its fun to shoot.

A cast bullet even cast from wheel weights will do the job any day. You dont need to driveca good cast bullet to stupid velocities. Put it through the shoulders or shoot length ways. Good cast will do both. Im a put two holes through an animal guy.

I have only seen a handful of them in that barrel length. I picked up a model 48 years ago when i was in my early 20's same barrel length. Never gaveca thought about it at the time. Just wanted any smith revolver i could find at the time.....guess im still that way.

I lucked out. Guy got in a k-22 made in 47 a 17-3 and the 17-1. I figured they are getting tuffer to find so i bought them all. The pre 16 had nice mother of pearl stocks on it.

I put a 8 3/8 in barrel 17-1 on layaway from a local shop. Can any one tell me how rare that barrel length is in a 17-1. Thanks forcany help.

Looking for a roper style grip. I bought some from altamont to try. I like bigger grips they fit my hands better. I found one ofvthe 586's in .38 so notva lot of recoil

I picked up one of the lipsey's GP100's in 327 a few yrs ago. I love that cartridge. With a 115gr lead G/C keith bullet it shoots lights out. But love my bisley's i have a lipseys stainless flatop .44 spcl. A stainless .45 colt and a older .44mag.

I have a tendency to pick up guns that are a good deal. That being said. There guns im not attached to. Then when i find something i teally want i trade up. As far as plastic guns i have a few. I just picked up a USP tactical in .40. Price was right. As stated here same with rugers. Who knew...
