Not that well. Awkward would be a word I'd use to describe it. The stock sits low on the shoulder, and it is tough to find the sights because the pistol is so high. Give me a .22 rifle any day for gophers and tin cans. But it sure is an awesome accessory...... WB

Model of 1891 mounted in the stock advertised below. From the 1908 Sears, Roebuck & Co. catalog. I have several long barreled .32 and .38 caliber Top-Breaks and New Departures that look just as neat in that stock. WB

I have two .32 Double Actions in my collection with floral grips. Both are 2nd models. According to SCSW 4th Edition, the floral grips appear only on the .32 Double Action 2nd models. One is in the 40XX s/n range, while the other is in the 20XXX range. Unfortunately, I don't have either of these...

Here is a .32 Safety Hammerless 3rd Model with 1 1/2" barrel that I own that letters as such. I don't have the letter in front of me right now, but IIRC it shipped to West Virginia ( coal mining country ) in 1937. Somewhere in my memory I think I had been told by a gentleman who collected 1 1/2"...

You may or may not find any Japanese markings on it. I own a NM3 that letters as shipped to Takata & Co. in 1891 that has no Japanese markings of any sort. It is nickel with hard rubber grips and letters as such. It also has the lanyard ring on the butt. I do not know the history on my pistol...
