    Cylinder 1980 M29

I just purchased a S&W M29 4”. Usually when you open the cylinder you can spend it freely with the ejector rod. The gun locks up tight and it has not been shot much at all. I was wondering if someone could tell me if this is an issue or it just needs to be shot more?

    S&W M29 4” Holster

I am getting ready I think to carry it some. It is just gorgeous and I almost hate to carry, but I can’t afford “safe queens.” I figure it was made to be used so I will carry it from time to time. Who knows I may get me a tooled rig to use on our alumni days at the Academy. Ha!

    Trying To Identify A M29-2

Thank you for that information. Back in the 80’s I was in the pistol team for the State of Texas (State LEO) and we used M686 6” barrels with what they called “target” triggers and hammers. This one is wide. It sure feels nice too.

    Trying To Identify A M29-2

I will try and get better pics when we unthaw in the DFW area, but nothing is wrong with the front sight. I don’t even believe it has seen a holster.

    Trying To Identify A M29-2

I have a M29-2 with a 4” Barrel. I sure would like to know when it was made. It is in excellent shape. I was kind of curious to what it might be worth. It appears to have a target trigger and hammer. Serial Number Is N7692**

New PC Model 19 Carry Comp - Pretty but...

Can you dry fire the M Comp without hurting anything? I know in “good ole days” dry firing a S&W revolver just made it better. Picking my M Comp up tomorrow. All of my S&W revolvers are classics. I don’t have any of the new ones so thought I would get me one for carry.

    Holster M327 TRR8

I have searched the forum and can’t find a definitive answer. Do any of you have a suggestion where I can buy a OWB holster for a 327 TRR8? I am trying to buy now or wait six moths for a custom holster. Would prefer black leather, but beggers can’t be choosers. Thanks

    642 Performance Center TALO Edition

They should be built to stand up, but like you said I don’t know if it it is built to be a range gun. I do not have safe queens all of mine are shooters. I hope their CS gets it right for you.

    642 Performance Center TALO Edition

I just picked up a 442 Talo. I really like it. I do not however see much difference in carrying a moon clip with 5 rounds verses a speedloader. I am a revolver lover. I guess it is my age.

    Best Standard Pressure .38

My Buffalo Bore came today. I have no ideal how they will work in a SD situation, but I am going to the range to see if they function reliable. I am going to look for some of the 158 grn in Hornady.

    J-Frame Fever!!

I have a few J Frames. I carry each of them from time to time. Whenever I am at home I either have a J Frame attached to me or my M66 2 1/2" barrel.

That is what I was looking for. Something I can practice with and carry. Thanks. I did order some of the Buffalo Bore ammo to turnout.

    Best Standard Pressure .38

Recoil is not an issue. The issue I have is the M60 is “not rated” for +p ammo so I am in the market for standard pressure ammo.

    Best Standard Pressure .38

I have a M60 from 1983. I understand I probably could get by with +P ammo for self defense. I would not be shooting 100’s of rounds through the gun, but I would love just to have the best standard pressure .38 (I think). I have been using Speer Gold Dots for short barrels in my M642. Probably...

    Help with M37

Toss up between this and a M60 in the same great shape. The M60 is less so I am having a hard time choosing. Can’t afford both. :(
