found pending receipt...thanks for all who responded!

I'd like to replenish the 357 mag brass stash (say that 3 times fast). Anyway, I police my brass and have a good bit of 38 special, 45 acp and .40. I try to sort and toss pieces with dents or damaged mouths. A lot of the 45 I have is from moon clips. Most of what I have has been cleaned...

    SCORE ! Model 27-2

The book says 79-80' based on the serial number. Very nice Model 27-2 you have and a whole lot of gun for $600 in my opinion. Pretty stocks too...

Opinions needed nickel 57 no dash

Unlike the Model 27 and 28, I do not think the "no dash" is a rarity when it comes to the Model 57. I have no idea about the number of no dash Nickel guns...but I have a nickel 4" M57 that the book dates to approximately 1973 and Saxonpig has posted one in this thread that dates to 1980 (per...

One of the First Triple Locks Made in 1906

Hey wait a minute...I don't remember this. Please forgive my poor attempt at humor...what a remarkable gun and history. Thank you for taking the time to post the pictures and share it. .

    Side plate adventure

My trick....I use a dab of heavy grease in the track on the sideplate to hold the block in place....then just re-install the sideplate with the block stuck to it...the grease will act like glue. It doesn't take much...just a dab.

    1954 K-38...

Nice revolver you have....thanks for sharing. I'd suggest you take it back down to the hardware store and make sure they don't have a mismatched pair of grips on another K frame.

Kurac stocks on this 5" Model 27-2

That's a fair point. I bought them to see "what all the fuss was about." The profile is really exceptional in my opinion. I wish I had a pic that captured just how much palm swell/coke profile they have. Very comfortable in my hand. I don't have plans to shoot them anytime soon but I'll...

Kurac stocks on this 5" Model 27-2

I think this is a handsome combination. And as I have stated before, the 5" M27 is my favorite S&W. I believe the stocks are made of bastogne walnut. They have a nice palm swell and the fit is exceptional. I like them very much and thought I would share.
