    Tampa gun show

The Tampa gun show is this weekend (10-11) and I'll have to admit some surprise at how good it was. I saw a lot of very nice Smiths and bought a 64-2 2" gun. I saw a 3", and at least 3 old M&P 2" guns, one even with a round butt! I thought most prices to be reasonable, which probably means I'm...

    Goodbye Revolvers for Defensive Carry

I am a hopeless romantic revolver guy with a 10 and 64 with 2" barrels, a 15 with 2", a 66 with 2 1/2, a 640, 642, 60...confirmed revolver guy. I also have arthritis in my hands that make double action very painful so my little Glock 26 has become the go to gun of choice. Ten rds, night sights...

    Pics of your EDC snubby

    I have a 64 and a 10 with 2" barrels. The 64 usually gets the nod.

    Gun Show sticker shock...

I enjoy going to gun shows in hopes of finding tables of beautiful old S&W revolvers and such. I always leave somewhat disappointed, often without seeing a single pre-lock Smith, and almost always empty handed these days. Prices are going up and the good stuff is better found on this forum than...

    Night Sights on a 3" model 13?

Try Kent Singletary. He has pictures of a custom Model 10 with dovetailed front sight.

Congrats, looks like a good buy. I just couldn't react fast enough being away from home and consistent contact.

    (SOLD)625-3 3", (SOLD)S&W49, (SOLD)S&W63, (withdrawn)Glock 21SF 45ACP, DFW Texas

Does the hammer and trigger finish match on that 625-3? For some reason the picture looks like the hammer is darker, almost like it's case hardened finish and the trigger is obviously flash chrome finish.

    4 Inch Model 25-2...?

I think that's a chop job because the barrel engraving of smith & wesson is not centered and the patridge sight is odd for a 4" gun. Somebody also installed a trigger stop so there has been some work done to it. Just my opinion but only buy it if you have real need for that one as a shooter...

New to me M15-4 2" blue

Now that's a nice 15. I've got to get some better pictures!

New to me M15-4 2" blue

That's correct. The biggest difference is the rear sight was smooth on the topstrap vice grooved like the M15. They were specially ordered for the USAF, used by aircrew and maybe OSI, and then almost all were destroyed when the M9 replaced them. I carried an M56 whenever we were to follow...

How much is this 19-4 2 1/2" worth?

Wow, I just don't see anything over $500 without original stocks and box. It is nice, and I like these guns a lot, but without the stocks, box and paperwork it isn't premium...which is anything over $500. You will be paying market price at that but you can certainly feel good that you got a...

New to me M15-4 2" blue

I have been wanting one of these as a personal tribute to the M56 I carried as a USAF pilot. It is a 1981 manufacture, has a very nice box, vapor paper, all paperwork, cleaning kit and screwdriver. Not perfect but very good shape with correctly numbered stocks that are perfect with sharp...

Opinion: Am I asking too much?

A nice blue 27-2 3 1/2 inch gun just sold on this forum for $900. It was in slightly lesser condition with a non-original, unnumbered box. It sold in 10 minutes, there are buyers for quality guns at fair market price. You lowballs are just wishful thinking in my opinion.

What to consider Buying at LGS? 3rd Gens

The 4566 is the best balance in my opinion. They are fantastically reliable and perfectly proportioned between barrel length, grip, magazine, etc. The price is $100 high but then again you don't see many NIB to compare. If it were at my LGS I would buy the 4566 and never look back!
