    HSM .357 Bear Load

It took me an hour to extract a spent HSM cartridge from my Marlin one time. I'm pretty sure pressure had something to do with it.

Gen 2 G19...the one I own. Never a functional failure in almost 30 years. Not one!

    Best 380 ammo

Other than the predictable "mouseguns" quip, this person is pretty much right.

    Service Grade Ammo?

What does "Service Grade" actually mean? Besides, if you look on those brown boxes, it looks like Winchester actually trademarked the term. I guess it means Winchester range ammo.

    powder scale

After several iterations with electronic scales, both cheap and expensive, I finally went back to my old Redding balance beam. Electronics just makes gravity complicated.

    Looking for a 45.

I bought a Sig Sauer P220 a couple of years ago. I will never need another .45.

    What did i get? 25-5 8”

I have a 25-5 and I love it! You need to flash 10 pictures of Ben Franklin at me before I will even discuss selling it. Not sure where to go with your generalized statement about bullet weight and velocity. .45 Colt is fun!

    Ammo for the M69

Unless you're worried that a crazed Water Buffalo might escape from the zoo, I'd stick with the Specials.

    Used wrong bullet seating stem

You didn't mention if you adjusted for O.A.L. when switching to the FMJ projectile. Depending on the powder and charge, you could have pressure issues if you seated too deep. There's not much volume in that 9mm case.

    Coronavirus and Deadly Force

How often is this REALLY happening? I suppose one could consider it "assault". In the state where I live, the statute reads "if the action of the other person is such that it would cause a reasonable person to fear for his or her safety", then deadly force can be deployed in defense of one's...

    Panic resulting in more reloaders?

I managed to get an order in to Midway just in time. 1200 projectiles. Yes, the craziness has started. A local range is offering one hour of free instruction for firs time gun buyers. What is it about all of this that makes people who don't have guns, want guns? Or ammo? Or reloading equipment...

    Tumbling Primed Brass

Here you go. Problem solved...I suppose. I would have just shot them or left them behind.

Wanted 2020 Guns - Covid-19 - Have your plans changed

My buying plans haven't changed. I already have the guns I need for SD and such. I have plenty of ammo too. Pity the fool who waited for an emergency to "stock up". The local range is offering a free one hour familiarization course to any and all first time gun buyers. As in the last...

Whats your favorite load for 45LC?

250 Gr. LFP - 8 grains BE-86 - 852 FPS 250 Gr. JHP - 8.6 grains Unique - 789 FPS 200 Gr. LFP - 9.3 grains BE-86 - 890 FPS These should be near the max of what is considered normal pressure for the .45 Colt. I rarely venture into the "Ruger/TC" arena. As always, use caution. This is my data...

    Model 19 vs Python?

Rarity + reputation + time. My eyes also light up when I see a nice vintage Royal Blue Python. And then I ask myself; 'Would I rather have that or 4 nice old Smiths?' The answer is always the same.

    Cheaper than dirt

...and there are several suppliers that I will never do business with again because of the way they stuck it to us during the last 'mass hysteria' event. I'm still mad at myself for paying a major supplier $180 for 3 pound of Unique in 2010. Nothing personal though.

    Unique and 2400 Powder

I have found BE-86 to be just about a grain for grain match to Unique, in .38 Special and .45 Colt.

What's flying off the shelf at your local Gun shop?

First of all, I am really happy that I've always made a habit of keeping plenty of ammo on hand. I do not need to worry at all about having enough factory ammo for the foreseeable future. I suppose I cannot answer your question because I don't need to go ammo shopping. The irrational panic run...

How many guns do you carry at one time?

One. If I'm in a high risk situation (which I never am), I might go with a back up. IMHO more than that would be really dumb.
