    411 added

Yeah, the 8 rounder seems wierd. I have a 4006 and wound up buying a number of used mags when they had them on sale at CDNN a few months ago. They were all 11 rounders.

    411 added

Just added a 411 that I was the final bidder on. Overall the gun seems to be in decent condition and of typical 3rd gen quality. I was a little surprised by the hole in the middle of the hammer. I have not seen this before on other SW pistols that I have looked at. Can anyone tell me if they are...

Once again, I blame this forum

Yeah, thanks to all the warm fuzzy support around here I now have a 411 on the way to join my other 3rd gens. We are basically just a bunch of snakes encouraging each other to bite the apple. All I know anymore is that I want more apples:o

    These guns really do multiply......

"Question:what's a great way to shoot these things in DA?" Snap caps and lots of deliberate practice. Compared to my P226, all of my 3rd gens have cream puff DA pulls. The Sig does have the sweetest SA though.

Pix of 5906 and 6906 from CDNN

That's the same combo I bought last Summer that started me out on the path to 3rd gen insanity. They look to be in very decent shape, especially the 5906. Happy blastin'.

    5906 - barrel´s shape

It's a well documented fact that this becomes a major problem when these barrels get up in the 2.7-2.9 million round count. :p Just messin' with you POL:D I would bet my house that the riflings in the barrel would wear down long before there were any structural problems related to the narrowed...

How Long Can You Fight It?

I'm always quick to remind my wife that she still has more pairs of shoes than I do guns. All I seek is balance.

How Long Can You Fight It?

You've already won a moral victory by admitting your weakness. That is the best that can be hoped for. Now you need to reward yourself for being so self aware and honest. That 4566 may as well be a first place trophy for your efforts.

    5903 price

Should not hurt at all to haggle a little. I would ask them if they could get it to you at $425 OTD--perhaps a little higher depending on your sales tax rate. Personally, unless its pristine, I would really have to be jonesin' for a 5903 specifically to pay 450.00 with all the nice 5906's out...

    Range Day with some S&W's....

    Another 5906

The gold standard of 9s. Mines always in the range bag it seems.

I cant stop buying 3rd gen guns

You are addicted to excellence and value. Someday soon we will fondly remember the days when these fine pistols could be had for under $400.00

    Shifty 1st-3rd Gens

They certainly are in short supply and typically don't last long when they do pop up. Around here, metal/alloy guns in general are more difficult to come by. Tax return season resulted in a buying frenzy and most of what was left over at the local GS were polymers.

WHAT DO YOU PREFER 40CAL OR 9MM

9 vs 40 vs 45...it's all really just a matter of preference. Since 9 ammo is so much cheaper than the other two, that's what I shoot most of the time. I own guns in all 3 and enjoy each of them--variety is the spice of life. I do think that there is a lot of validity to recoil being a moot...

    Full Auto 5906tsw

I can't help--I only know that I want one. Practicality be darned, that looks like a rush to empty the clip.

    I have no willpower

We are all powerless when the S&W Siren sings her song. The problem is that she never shuts up. Enjoy that classic and remember that you can never truly have too many 9's.

5946 police trade in finally done! I'm proud!

That's a first rate job on the polishing there. Very sharp looking pistol.

    Finally a 4006!

I have been wanting one of these for a while now and finally found one today--at a gunshow of all places:eek: It looks to be a police trade-in and has definately been carried some. There is very minor wear on the barrel and guide rod. The grips are serviceable and the worst of it cosmetically...

    new 5906

I can only echo the praise here. The 5906 is solid pistol and should outlast us all!
