S&W Collections of the average guy

I thought this would be fun to see what type of collections the average guy has at home. Join in with yours. One rule is that if you have a collection approaching ten S&W pistols you: a) Are not an average guy and you have too much time and money...I'm jealous b) You do a better job than me at...

    Cancelled 5-26-10 6944 9mm Blue DAO (1 of 512)

Up for sale is my 6944 9mm Blue DAO. This is low production gun (1 of 512) that I purchased last November from the original owner. The gun has replacement night sights that are faded. I have had this gun lettered by Mr Jinks. The letter is included with the original box and 3 mags. The gun is...

    669 1985 Limited Edition

The first 100 669s were made for Lew Horton per the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson in October 1985. The first serial numbers were TAK if I remember correctly. If you are looking at the two guns on Gunbroker I think the SN is TAE which would point to a very early production gun. I have been...

    3904 Duotone?

I thought I remember seeing reference to a two tone 3904 in Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson. It is at the end of the description of the 3904.

    669 9mm Help needed

The grips were factory S&W one piece. They are the same as on my other S&Ws. The trigger guard was also factory. There was no rework to make it a rounded trigger as I could tell. Thanks.

    669 9mm Help needed

I was at the relatives today. My brother in-law showed me his 669. The gun had a rounded trigger guard and one piece grips. With this model I thought it would have the 1 gen trigger guard and the three piece grips. The serial number was TBMxxxx. It had a red bar front sight and the expected rear...

I received my letter from Mr Jinks today. The reply was very fast, less than a month. Thank you Mr Jinks. The letter states the following along with a ship date of 1-25-92. "This model was manufactured from parts that were in stock from the Model 669 and the Model 6904 as a special order for...

Has anyone ever seen a 6924? I have read only 5 were ever made. That would be a major score.

    6944 DAO Blue Compact 9mm (1 of 512 produced)

When I saw the listing for this gun I knew it was rare. I was low on funds so I had to sell my 6906. Figured it was good gamble. I was able to pick up a 4576 back in August. Been very lucky lately on my gun purchases. I am sending my paperwork in to Mr Jinks very soon. I need to know how many...

    6944 DAO Blue Compact 9mm (1 of 512 produced)

I bought this pistol in late November from the original owner. Was in my gun safe thru the Holidays. Thought I would show it off today. The following is the quote from the original owner. He was great to deal with and made my first online purchase a pleasure. "I bought the gun new in 1992, I...
