    CHiefs Special 95K 1956?

Thank you ! If that is the case would it just be a manufacturing tolerance then for the grip fit, they seem to overhang a bit.... Also would a diamond magna be correct for this range? thanks for the quick response !

    CHiefs Special 95K 1956?

Hi I was able to pick this up at a local shop as part of a retired officers trade in for a rifle. He brought this in along with a 4506 and 4516 - this pistol he purchased as a BUG back in the 70's from a retired PANYNJ officer that was his BUG. It is a little loose and I can fix that, but the...

I was able to get up to the shop an get the pistol squared away and reverse the screw. At the same time I took it apart further, at the cylinder and removed that to get some additional 'gunk' out etc. What I find odd is the small amount of material at the cylinder latch that prevents the...

I just ordered the book and should have it tomorrow - some good weekend reading - that's the other nice part about collecting is all the books i get as well. 1885 patent hammerless 38 s&w

Thanks for all the comments from all parties ! It is much appreciated The one issue i have with BP and at least the hardware that I have been using for loading my flints/caps, is that my volume measure is not all that precise. Not to derail the thread, but for my 54 caplock I have settled...

Thanks Gary ! I am trying to get the serial from a friend of mine up at the shop to supply it. I do not see any other marking except for the top rib, the grips and on the cylinder. Once I have the serial I will post it so maybe we can date it better. I had the side plate off as the firearm...

Thanks and that is how I have seen them referenced - so i thought it was applicable to all version and makes of top breaks. Also thanks for the info on reloading, of which I have been doing for about 25 years. Loading for old damascus doubles in BP with 2.5" shells up to and including for my...
